Professor Ph. D. from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1992. Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Van't Hoff Laboratory (Utrech University, The Netherlands, 1993-1995). Professor at the University of Vigo from 1995 until 2012. Currently Ikerbasque Research Professor at CIC biomaGUNE, where he served as the Scientific Director from 2013 to 2021. He is also the PI of the CIBER-BBN node at CIC biomaGUNE and holds a part-time chair at the University of Vigo. 'Nanoparticles synthesis and assembly. Nanocomposite colloids and materials.
